How do you know that your library is meeting its goals? How do you show your success to others? While library workers see that our resources and services are thriving, we continue to face questions about our relevance and value. In this session, explore how growing a culture of curiosity through assessment can help your library gain insights, serve your community, and tell your story to internal and external stakeholders. The key is to begin with assessment in mind. Attendees will discuss the definition and role of assessment within their libraries. Using an adaptation of the backward design model, attendees will also have an opportunity to practice integrating assessment and data gathering into the planning process for a library service or program.
